Maria has more than 30 years of public relations experience. She has written and implemented public relations campaigns for clients in many industries including health care, restaurants, sports, automotive, retail, real estate, the arts and community service. She is a past Women in Communications Woman of the Year for Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations Agencies/Consultants. She also was featured in the September 1994 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine in an article highlighting “Women In PR.” She has won numerous awards, including a national Clarion Award from Women in Communications and a Communicator Award of Excellence for Dairy Queen’s “Blizzard of Publicity”; a Communicator Award of Excellence for Olive Garden’s new menu press kit; and awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Florida Public Relations Association. A 1981 graduate of the University of Florida, Maria also is an active member of the community, lending support to Coral Springs Community Chest, Leadership Broward and Junior League.
Jane has developed and managed local, regional and national public relations programs for clients in a variety of industries, with special emphasis on restaurants, travel and hospitality, professional services, corporate communications and financial institutions. Clients often call on her to write by-lined commentaries and feature stories. Her work has appeared in many publications and industry journals. Jane leads media training sessions for many of the firm’s clients and provides issues management and crisis communications counsel. She has won the prestigious national Clarion Award from the Association of Women In Communications, the Dick Pope All-Florida Golden Image Award, and the national Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. Her work in the non-profit sector includes serving on the Board of The Urban League of Broward County, where she has chaired the publicity committee and the annual Equal Opportunity Day Dinner, and created videos and brochures to support the organization’s development efforts.
The Professional Staff
Pierson and Grant lead a talented staff of experienced public relations professionals, many of whom are former editors and reporters. On staff also are a Director of Digital Strategy and a Hispanic media specialist. Two graphic designers help the agency create newsletters, brochures, Web sites and other communication materials.
