Launch of Project H.E.L.P. to Improve the Lives of Local Elderly

In recognition of 20 years of serving seniors in South Florida, Alternative Home Health Care has launched a new community relations program —  Project H.E.L.P. (Helping Elders Live Positively).

The home health care agency will donate grants, up to $1,500 each, to charities in the counties in which it has a presence — Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach — to help provide funding for supplies and other items needed. At least one organization per county will be selected.

“Ensuring the well-being of seniors is our core mission, whether they are clients of ours or neighbors down the street,” said Zach Desmond, executive administrator of Alternative Home Health Care, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in October. “We recognize that growing older can be difficult, which is why we are so enthusiastic about helping non-profit programs that help bring positivity to seniors’ lives.”

To qualify, organizations must be 501(c)(3) charities with programming dedicated to the well-being of seniors in South Florida. Applications must be submitted online at AlternativeHomeHealth.com/Project-H-E-L-P no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, October 14.
