Second Annual “Boat Show Night Out” Takes Place Oct. 11 in Downtown Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® will present the second annual Boat Show Night Out, a huge block party set to take place two weeks before the boat show on Thursday, October 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. in Esplanade Park on Second Street in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

The free, open-to-the-public event will feature live music, DJs from 99.9 KISS Country and more than 20 gourmet food trucks against a yacht-lined New River backdrop. All event proceeds will be donated to Riverwalk Trust.

New to this year’s Boat Show Night Out is the KidZone hosted by Bluefoot Pirate Adventures. Kids of all ages can board the custom built pirate ship and shoot the water cannons or get their faces painted like a pirate.

“We had such a terrific response from the community last year that we decided to do it again,” said Dane Graziano, COO of Show Management, organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. “It’s a great way to let the community know that the greatest boat show in the world is back because of them and their continued support.”

Party-goers are invited to come by boat and tie up at the New River floating docks, located adjacent to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Plenty of city parking is available near Esplanade Park on the street and in nearby City and County garages.

Boat Show Night Out is sponsored by the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Marine Industries of South Florida, 99.9 KISS Country, Riverwalk Trust and the City of Fort Lauderdale.

The 53rd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the largest in-water boat show in the world, takes place from Oct. 25 to Oct. 29 at six locations: the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, the Las Olas Municipal Marina, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, the Broward County Convention Center and the Sails Marina. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® is owned and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, and managed and produced by Show Management.
