12th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée Gives Guests a Night ‘Under the Sea’ at The Parker

$105,000 raised to benefit Broward Center’s arts-in-education programs

Fort Lauderdale’s iconic entertainment and cultural venue, The Parker, was transformed into an underwater paradise for the 12th Annual Ghost Light Society Soirée, “Soirée Under the Sea,” presented by UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group). More than 250 guests enjoyed dining, drinks, entertainment and more at the event, which raised $105,000 to benefit the arts-in-education and enrichment programs at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

“Everyone was thrilled to return to The Parker to celebrate the arts and raise funds to support critical arts-in-education programs that positively impact more than 130,000 Broward students annually,” said Heather Geronemus, Event Co-Chair and UKG’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Founded in 2009, the Ghost Light Society’s mission is to engage and inspire a new generation of patrons to take an active role in promoting, celebrating and supporting the performing arts. The annual Soirée is the group’s largest fundraiser and one of the most anticipated events of the season.

“We appreciate the outpouring of support from attendees and sponsors, and we are proud to have surpassed $1.1 million raised by the Ghost Light Society to date,” added Peter Neirouz, Event Co-Chair and Director of Major Gifts for Broward Health Foundation.

In addition to Presenting Sponsor UKG, the Soirée was supported by Diamond Sponsors Broward Health and Twig, Trade and Tribunal PLLC; Platinum Sponsors Akerman LLP, Cassel & Cassel, P.A., Celebrity Cruises and Crowe; and Gold Sponsors Memorial Healthcare System, Merrimac Ventures and Catherine Niemeyer’s Allstate Agency.
