FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (September 24, 2014) – At this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, guests and exhibitors will find a wide array of dining options. Whether it’s a leisurely lunch, a quick bite on-the-go or a business dinner to close the next deal, attendees will have more dining options than ever before.
The latest culinary enhancement is the addition of a new, full-service pop-up restaurant, Hugh’s Café at the Hall of Fame Marina, operated by Hugh’s Culinary. Styled as high-end sit-down bistro, the café will be located at the Hall of Fame Marina show location and feature an à la carte menu, tapas style food and full course lunches. Open to the public, the concept is designed to offer another quality dining option for guests and a place for industry professionals to meet and conduct business.
Pier 66 Marina, the show’s newest location, to reopen soon following a total marina renovation, will offer attractive dining options, including Pelican Landing restaurant for casual dockside dining and drinks, and fine cuisine at the upscale Grille 66 & Bar. Pier 66 also offers pool-side dining at Orchids Pool Bar.
One spot for a great meal is the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. New menu items for this year’s show include The Hatteras Burger, tempura fried soft shell crab sandwiches and Maine lobster rolls. Past menu favorites are still available including turkey carvings, fried grouper sandwiches, tomato mozzarella panini, turkey and provolone panini, fish tacos, buffalo chicken sandwiches and gourmet pizzas. Concession items include hamburgers, grilled chicken, chicken tenders and hot dogs. Or, sit back and relax with a cool drink at the newIGFA Sportfishing Lounge.
Also at the Convention Center, The Sailfish Pavilion Bar & Grill will broadcast college and NFL football games from the Budweiser Bar and feature live musical entertainment Saturday and Sunday. The Guy Harvey Craft Beer Lounge and Carvery will feature nautical films, craft beers and freshly carved turkey and Cuban “Media Noche” sandwiches.
For a more casual approach, select from the many choices at the show’s International Food Garden located at the Bahia Mar show location. Or find a seat at one of the show’s world-famous floating cocktail lounges, one of the best spots to people-watch, grab a cold drink and recharge while enjoying live musical entertainment.
The Hilton Marina location features several dining options including Nanking, offering Asian-fusion dishes; The G casual waterside dining located directly adjacent to the hotel’s 33-slip inlet marina; and the Waterway Room featuring breakfast service with waterway views.
All show locations are connected by a convenient land and water transportation network offering several parking and transportation options to get show-goers to the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Municipal Marina, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Sails Marina, Pier 66 Marina and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
