Save $5 off single tickets on exciting new shows going on sale to the public on August 4
AVENTURA – In celebration of Aventura Arts & Cultural Center’s 5th Anniversary Season, the best seats in the house are going on sale to the first exciting new shows of the 2015-16 season, giving arts lovers and bargain hunters the ability to enjoy a $5 per ticket discount on ticket purchases made between August 4 and 18.
From ballet to tango, from popular music to barbershop harmonies and the magic of illusion, these season performances light up the stage at Aventura’s elegant, 330-seat waterfront theater.
Start the 5th Anniversary Season at Aventura with TANGObsession (October 3, 4), a multi-media avant-garde musical celebration fueled by the passion and love inspired by the heart-stopping tango and filled with music and dance.
Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida returns to the Aventura stage with Ballets with Latin Flavor (October 10 &11), an exciting, contemporary program featuring the new work Tarde en la Siesta as well as excerpts from Don Quixote and Laurencia. Subscription series tickets for the ABT four-show season will be available at the early bird discount and additional performances include The Nutcracker (December 11,12 & 13); Coppelia (March 5, 6); and the Spring Gala (May 14).
Next up, the award-winning “Miamians” of the Miami Chapter, Barbershop Harmony Society, bring favorite songs to life with vibrant harmonies during With A Little Help From Our Friends (October 17).
Avalon: Suite for Flamenco Guitar and Orchestra (November 6) is a vibrant set compiled from some of the best compositions by Venezuelan singer Jose Luis Rodriguez and orchestrated by Alex Conde of Spain.
An Evening with George Winston (November 18) features a variety of the piano soloist’s styles, including melodic folk piano, New Orleans R&B and stride piano, as he performs favorites inspired by the seasons, such as “Autumn” and hits from his thirteen solo albums.
The Aventura Comedy Series returns with side-splitting laughter from humor virtuosos including Bobby Collins (November 21); Sarge: The Chanukah Chutzpah Tour (December 19, 20); Three Hysterical Broads Off Their Medication (January 23); Judy Tenuta (February 27); and Steve Marshall and Michael Panzeca: The Cannoli and the Macaroon Comedy Tour (March 26). A passionate tribute to the “Chairman of the Board,” 3 Men and a Baby. . .Grand: A Toast To Sinatra (December 18) includes many of “Ol’ Blue Eyes’” hits such as “Strangers in the Night,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “My Way,” “New York, New York,” and more.
Dubbed as an “illusionist extraordinaire,” Brad Ross brings his new show Unbelievable! to Aventura (December 29) with a celebration of jaw-dropping magic that includes hilarious comedy and lots of audience participation for the entire family.
While not offering a discount, also going on sale August 4th are tickets for The Choreographers Ball (November 14), featuring some of South Florida’s hottest choreographers and dancers; and the Aventura Marketing Council’s Young Stars Showcase (November 15), the 6th-annual performance of sensational young South Florida singers, ages 9 to 18.
