Blizzards Hit the IRS for Tax Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. — To celebrate Tax Day and the 25th birthday of Dairy Queen®’s Blizzard® Treat, the first ever custom-designed Blizzard®mobile will visit Washington, D.C, symbolically parking outside the IRS building and offering free new Mini Blizzards to all taxpayers and accountants toiling at the tax deadline. The Blizzardmobile will be parked outside of the IRS Building at the corner of 10th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. on Thursday, April 15 from noon to 1 p.m.

Shaped like the 25th birthday cup topped with an Oreo® Blizzard, including the red spoon, the Blizzardmobile will provide free new Mini Blizzards, a new size which is about half the size of a small 12 ounce Blizzard, that will be available at Dairy Queen locations in August, and other exciting on-site activities, while raising awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network. The Blizzardmobile is on a 25-city, five month tour across the U.S. and Canada.

As part of the birthday celebration, participating Dairy Queen locations also will host a Customer Appreciation Week April 19-25 when customers can buy one Blizzard and get a second for 25 cents.

Online activities include photo and video contests and the opportunity for fans to track the Blizzardmobile on Facebook.com/DairyQueen, Twitter.com/DairyQueen and blog.DairyQueen.com.
