DAVIE, Fla. – November 20, 2014 – Registration is now open for Broward’s Jewish teen artists interested in representing Broward County in the 2015 JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®, which, will be held in Broward County August 9-14, in conjunction with the JCC Maccabi Games®, hosted by the David Posnack Jewish Community Center for the first time in the 33-year history of the Games.
It is free of charge to apply and audition. Teens ages 12-17 as of July 31, 2015 must audition to be considered for one of the following categories: musical theater, acting/improve, culinary arts, rock band, dance performance, journalism/star reporter, visual arts and vocal performance. During ArtsFest, artists will have the opportunity to work with local and national artists-in-residence and fellow teens from throughout the U.S., Israel, and around the world, and will perform in a culminating showcase highlighting their skills.

For the first time, the JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest® will be held in Broward County August 9-14, 2015. The second largest organized sports program in the world for Jewish teens will involve 1,200 visiting athletes and artists, 300 local athletes and artists, 300 coaches and 1,000 volunteers, in addition to host families, visiting families, spectators and community partners.
