COVID-19: Blaze Pizza Surprises Northwestern Medicine Hospitals with 300 DIY At Home Pizza Kits

Blaze Pizza Chicagoland Makes Special Deliveries to Staff to Say Thank You

Blaze Pizza’s Chicagoland team members recently fanned out to 10 Northwestern Medicine Hospitals with 300 DIY Pizza Kits to surprise hospital staff and say thank you.

“Our Chicagoland Blaze Pizza team wanted to show their appreciation for the supply chain logistics personnel at Northwestern Medicine Hospitals, who have been working around the clock to ensure frontline workers have the supplies they need to deliver lifesaving care to the people of Chicago,” said Blaze Pizza Chicagoland President Adam Cummis. “We hope that the DIY Pizza Kits will provide a few moments of delicious fun and creativity, and help them disconnect from their work when they get home.”

Northwestern Medicine Hospitals’ supply chain logistics team members are the essential boots on the ground that unload, distribute and stock critical supplies that have been in high demand throughout this pandemic, including PPE and ventilators. As demand has shifted, the team has worked diligently behind the scenes to track inventory and adjust priorities daily.

Part of the #BlazingItForward campaign, the donation of family fun size DIY pizza kits was accompanied by a video from Executive Chef Brad Kent, thanking the hospital workers and sharing tips for how to build a perfect Blaze Pizza at home.

Blaze Pizza currently has eight Chicagoland locations open for takeout and delivery. To find a location or for online ordering visit BlazePizza.com, or download the Blaze Pizza app.
