FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – In Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the city which bills itself as the Yachting Capital of the World, Denison Yacht Sales recently was named the U.S. distributer of Pirelli Pzero Boats, a new generation of tenders ranging in size from 30’ to 46’ and priced from $90,000 to more than $600,000 USD.
Co-owner Bob Denison is encouraged by strong interest in the new inflatable tenders. “The Pirelli Pzero line of boats is distinct from all other tender products out there,” said Denison. “These very special boats carry Mediterranean flash and style with a great layout, surprisingly fast speeds and the highest quality appointments the industry has to offer.”
As the marine industry welcomes boaters back to the market with attractive and innovative new products, many buyers are discovering the appeal of European style tenders, historically associated with yachting in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
“We are selling a lifestyle by introducing these Pirelli tenders to the U.S. market,” said Denison. “With its expansive sunpads, teak decks, and access to the water – something a typical center console cannot offer — this is a style that North American clients are only just starting to discover, so the opportunity to introduce Pirelli has huge potential.”
Denison Yacht Sales currently has three Pirelli Pzeros under construction and has delivered one to a client in Corsica: a metallic gray 1400 Yacht Edition with Bravo 3 Axius drives. Four more deals are currently in the works.
From the Pirelli Pzero line of boats, Denison Yacht Sales offers the 1400 Carbon and Yacht Editions, the 1100 and the 880 Sport and Cabin Editions. Power options include Volvo Penta or Cummins diesel and MerCruiser MAG HO DTS with choice of Bravo 1 or Bravo 3 stern drives. Other options include choice of colors and electronics packages.
The Pzero is the product of an agreement between Pirelli, an esteemed Italian brand with a long history of “rubberizing” roadways and boats in Italy, and Techno Marine, which specializes in the production of professional Rigid Inflatable Boats or RIBs. This arrangement combines the essence of a sports boat with elegant Italian design creating the first high performance luxury RIB.
- With a hull design very similar to the most efficient offshore racing boats, the Pirelli 1400 Carbon Edition is easy to handle and safe in rough weather conditions. Boasting design elements from Ocke Mannerfelt, her state-of-the-art applications and 75 knot performance are unmatched.
- The Pirelli 1400 Yacht Edition was created for a sailing experience at the top of its class, with excellence in detail, Hypalon Neoprene tubes and a glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) hull style.
- The newest to the Pzero line up, the Pirelli 1100, boasts new technology and standard features previously offered only as options. Featuring Pirelli’s signature center console design, the 1100 includes a queen-sized berth with a complete separate head.
- The Pirelli 880 Sport is available in either the Cabin or Sport editions and works perfectly as a megayacht tender, day boat, weekend cruiser or runabout.
