First Annual Waterway Soirée, a Star-studded Evening aboard Spectacular Yachts, is Set to Benefit Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – (March 19, 2015)  Imagine an evening under the stars, enjoying epicurean delights and great entertainment aboard a luxurious yacht, knowing that you are helping some of Broward County’s most fragile residents. The first annual Waterway Soirée presented by Bahia Mar Marina and Ryan and Lauren Tannehill to benefit Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) is set to take place on Saturday, May 30 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Bahia Mar Resort & Yachting Center.  The yacht hop and waterway cruise are designed to raise much needed funds for Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC), a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 11,000 children with special health care needs in Broward County.

Guests will enjoy a chic evening dockside at Bahia Mar, mingling with celebrity guests aboard a beautiful display of private yachts. The event features live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and open bar.  Following dinner, guests will embark on an Intracoastal Waterway cruise aboard the new Grand Floridian with dessert and dancing.

“Our goal from the beginning was to create an exciting new signature event which highlights what is quintessential about Fort Lauderdale, our spectacular waterways,” said Amanda Mitchell, director of development for the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center. “We are so grateful for the generosity and support we’ve received so far from the yachting and marine industry as well as local businesses and couldn’t be more excited for what promises to be a very memorable event.

Individual tickets for the yacht hop, dinner and dessert cruise are $750.  Yacht owners can enter their own boats and receive admission for up to 20 guests and all activities for $15,000.  Similarly, several new yachts are available for groups of up to 20 guests for $15,000. For guests who wish to attend only the dessert cruise, tickets may be purchased for $100.  All donations are tax deductible.

The Waterway Soirée’s Host Committee Chair is Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, President of Show Management.
