Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® to Host “Boat Show Night Out” Oct. 19

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® will present Boat Show Night Out, a huge block party set to take place Wednesday, October 19, from 6 to 10 p.m. in Esplanade Park on Second Street in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

The free, open-to-the-public event, set a week before the 52nd annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show opens, will feature live country music, DJs from 99.9 KISS Country and more than 20 gourmet food trucks against a yacht-lined New River backdrop. All event proceeds will be donated to Riverwalk Trust.

“We want to get the community revved up for the world’s largest boat show, taking place right here in our own backyard,” said Dane Graziano, COO of Show Management, organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. “This event is a fun way to give back to the community that has graciously hosted us for more than 50 years.”

Party-goers are invited to come by boat and tie up at the New River floating docks, located adjacent to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Plenty of city parking is available near Esplanade Park on the street and in nearby City and County garages.

Boat Show Night Out is sponsored by the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Marine Industries of South Florida, 99.9 KISS Country, Riverwalk Trust and the City of Fort Lauderdale.

This year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show takes place from Oct. 27 to Oct. 31 at six locations: the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, the Las Olas Municipal Marina, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, the Broward County Convention Center and the Sails Marina. It is the largest in-water boat show in the world featuring more than $3 billion worth of boats, yachts, super yachts, electronics, engines and thousands of boating accessories from every major marine manufacturer and boat builder across the globe, as well as exotic cars, clothing and jewelry. Other activities at the boat show include marine seminars, fishing clinics, live musical entertainment and an International Food Garden. Back again is the Drop N’ Go dock where boats up to 40 feet may drop off or pick up guests at the Atlass Dock located at the Hall of Fame Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway.
