Leadership Broward’s 2018 Profiles in Leadership Gala Raises $225,000

Leadership Broward honored Broward County business and community leaders during the 2018 Profiles in Leadership Black-Tie Ball and raised $225,000 for leadership programming and initiatives for the non-profit organization.

 

Recognized for their talent and resources in helping to make Broward County a great place to live and work were: Gregory A. Haile, Esq., president of Broward College; Chantal Leconte, FACHE, former CEO of Joe Dimaggio Children’s Hospital; Per-Olof Loof, CEO of KEMET Corporation; Amaury Piedra, general manager for Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina.

 

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Ina Lee, tourism icon and owner of Travelhost Magazine, and the Leadership Excellence in Corporate Leadership Award was presented to Ultimate Software.

 

The black-tie gala was emceed by WPLG Local 10 anchor Kristi Krueger and was co-chaired by: Brandon Hensler, Nova Southeastern University; Brenda Pagliaro, City Furniture; Cindy Schutt, Cindy Schutt PR; Julie Spadavecchia, Bank of America; and Katie Torres, Cato Insurance Group. Andria Cunningham, Nova Southeastern University, serves on the Leadership Broward board of directors as vice president of special events.

 

“It was an honor to recognize the outstanding individuals that have made a significant impact on our community,” said Andrew Zullo, executive director of Leadership Broward. “It was a spectacular evening honoring these leaders and we are so appreciative of them and our guests, sponsors and co-chairs who made the night so special.”
