Local Artists To Showcase Work During Art & Soul Benefiting Business For The Arts Of Broward

Painted ladyIn a salute to the visual and performing arts, Business for the Arts of Broward will host Art & Soul, a fundraiser with featured works from local artists from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at the Gallery One Double Tree Suites by Hilton, 2670 E. Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. Taking the stage during the event will be Karina Iglesias, finalist on “The Voice.”

Art & Soul is a night of art, live jazz music and gourmet food to raise money for Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) to help fund events and expand the services offered across Broward County as well as promote economic development to the non–profit organizations BFA supports as well as advance a creative economy.

Specifically proceeds will benefit participating local artists and Business for the Arts of Broward programs including free cultural tours, the Arts Means Business Breakfast Series, a free quarterly event with renowned artists, and Art in the Workplace, which is designed to forge lasting relationships between the arts community and local businesses by bringing various disciplines of the arts directly into the workplace.

Each piece of artwork on display will be 12 in. by 12 in. and priced at $300. VIP admission tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door and include open bar and hors d’oeuvres. VIP ticket holders will have early admission to view and purchase the art from 6 to 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door and include one drink and hors d’oeuvres. Doors open for general admission tickets from 7 to 9 p.m.

There will also be an interactive photo booth, a live painting canvas and an Artist Selfie Station.
