FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – (October 1, 2014) For those just starting a career in the marine industry and others looking for a change of course, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) will host a marine industry job fair during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®.
Taking place on October 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, the fair will feature more than 20 leading marine industry companies, from both the private and commercial sectors, representing nearly 200 available positions including skilled trades, administrative and crew.
In addition to exploring job opportunities available in South Florida’s largest industry, job-seekers will receive helpful job search, resume building and career tips. A boating etiquette seminar also will be offered sharing information and insights for those new to the industry.
Participants include: Tradesmen International, High Seas Yacht Service, Rolly Marine, Derecktor, Parker Yachts, Maritime Professional Training (MPT), Broward College, Nova Southeastern University, and CareerSource Broward
Attendees can preregister by October 24 at MIASF.org/JobFair. The first 100 pre-registrants will receive a complimentary ticket to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Attending the job fair is convenient and free.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center is located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. Parking is available onsite or at War Memorial Auditorium (parking fees apply). A valid photo I.D. is required for entry.
