Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (July 21, 2010) – Morton’s The Steakhouse has appointed Jeffrey Yoakum as Executive Chef of its restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant is located at 500 E. Broward Blvd.
Yoakum has been in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years and with Morton’s for the past four years. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Yoakum previously owned two restaurants in Sarasota, worked in fine dining at the Ritz-Carlton, and served as executive chef and sous chef at two prestigious restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area. He brings passion, creativity and strong leadership to the kitchen. As executive chef at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Yoakum will oversee kitchen operations and mentor and inspire his staff.
