NAIOP South Florida Announces Awards of Excellence Winners

CBRE Senior Vice President Harry Tangalakis receives Lifetime Achievement Award

NAIOP South Florida, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has announced the winners of the Awards of Excellence, which recognize individuals and organizations whose achievements have contributed to the local commercial real estate industry, benefitted the regional business environment and facilitated economic growth in South Florida.

“This year’s Awards of Excellence has to be our most competitive, inspiring and well-attended yet,” said NAIOP South Florida Executive Director Jules R. Morgan. “Our esteemed panel of judges was faced with the near impossible task of choosing the winners from some of the most impactful and economically significant deals in 2018, some of which set all-time records.”

In an inspired toast, NAIOP South Florida presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to CBRE Senior Vice President Harry Tangalakis. With a commercial real estate career spanning more than 30 years, Tangalakis’s reputation precedes him. His countless successes and contributions to NAIOP South Florida, the community and the greater commercial real estate industry warrant the same distinction awarded to Edmund Ansin, Armando Codina, Doug Eagon, Alice Jackson and Terry Stiles among others.

“Our winners and finalists all deserve recognition,” Morgan added. “Their hard work and many achievements continue to propel Florida’s overall economy through a $19.3 billion commercial real estate sector, which puts more than 155,000 Floridians to work every day.”
