Marking its largest holiday gift drive yet, Miramar Park of Commerce delivered truckloads of gifts to the Miramar Police Department

Sunbeam Properties & Development staff and Miramar Police Department celebrate the 8th annual Sunbeam Polar Express Toy Drive. The group completed unloading piles of toys to be delivered to children throughout Miramar.

In celebration of the 8th Annual Sunbeam Polar Express Toy Drive, a merry parade of decorated trucks filled with toys, games, bikes, books and beaming Miramar Park of Commerce tenants and employees made its way through the streets of Miramar delivering gifts to the Miramar Police Department to be distributed to local children and elderly in need.

The record-breaking gift delivery, which was made possible through generous donations from more than 100 Miramar Park of Commerce tenants and vendors, will bring smiles and holiday magic to the children, families and elderly in Miramar, as well as children spending the holidays at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The Miramar Police Department’s Operation Blue Squad will deliver the gifts just ahead of Christmas Day.

Employees from Sunbeam Properties & Development celebrate the 8th annual Sunbeam Polar Express Toy Drive, which was the company’s largest gift drive ever.

“We’ve partnered with the city for years to bridge the gap between local youth and the police department through our Sunbeam Polar Express Toy Drive and support of the Hangin’ with 5-0 annual summer camps,” said Sunbeam Properties & Development Vice President of Acquisitions, Leasing and Marketing Ryan Goggins. “The Miramar Park of Commerce is at the heart of this community, and we take great pride in supporting and strengthening local organizations that serve the residents who live here. We sincerely thank the unprecedented number of tenants and vendors who contributed gifts that will light up the faces of so many in our community.”

During the Sunbeam Polar Express Toy Drive, the caravan of vehicles filled with gifts and decorated in a wild west theme was escorted by police officers from the Miramar Park of Commerce to the Miramar Police Department. Donations were made for toddlers through teens and included everything from toys and bikes to crafts and gift cards. For the elderly, donations included crossword books, blankets, anti-slip socks, gift cards, sweet treats and more.

“As word of the impact of this event spreads, we have more and more tenants that want to participate in the Polar Express,” added Goggins. “People in our community are looking for ways to help and we enjoy bringing everyone together to support those in our community who need it most.”
