FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (October 27, 2014) – Premier Developers is bringing luxury waterfront living to Fort Lauderdale with Riva, the first luxury condominium development along the Middle River to offer 21st century design while complementing the serene riverfront setting.
The 15-story property located on a two acre site at 1180 N. Federal Highway across the river from George English Park, just north of Sunrise Blvd., is expected to begin construction in early 2015. Once completed, Riva will feature 100 exquisitely designed residences, all of which will showcase breathtaking views of the ocean, Intracoastal Waterway or the Fort Lauderdale skyline.
“Riva is the first condominium to introduce contemporary luxury design along Fort Lauderdale’s Middle River,” notes Premier Developer’s principal Bradley Deckelbaum, “and we chose this spot on the river because it is so peaceful and serene, facing a lush 22-acre park. Yet we are in the heart of the city, with Galleria Mall literally around the corner, and both the beach and Las Olas only a few blocks away.”
The name “Riva,” Italian for “shore,” was chosen to reflect the 400-foot riverfront residents’ garden that fronts the property, and also to underline the modern Italian design by local architect Jiro Yates of FSMY.
“Because we have unobstructed views east to the ocean and west to the setting sun, we asked our designers to maximize our balconies as outdoor living spaces,” notes Deckelbaum, “and they now extend up to 70 feet long and 13 feet deep, all with summer kitchens.”
Premier Developers also chose to appeal to affluent owners by building fewer, larger residences in the 15-story building. With only 100 residences, planners were able to create unsually spacious 1,500-2,500 square-foot models, each with one or two oversized balconies.
Currently priced from $645,000 to more than $1.7 million, the available two and three bedroom residences are each delivered decorator-ready and offer private elevator access, contemporary bathrooms with porcelain flooring, gourmet kitchens with Sub-Zero / Wolf premium appliances and imported Italian-design cabinetry, large outdoor terraces with sunrise and sunset views, and tinted, energy and impact resistant windows and glass doors. The eight penthouses are not yet released for sale, but are expected to be priced well over $2 million. In addition, all residents will have access to the property’s River Club, a fourth floor enclave featuring a full-size 65-foot lap pool with lounging areas and private cabanas, fitness center with cardio, aerobic and yoga areas, a Borghese spa, and a club room featuring a private party room, cocktail lounge and grand kitchen equipped to host a dining experience of up to 25 guests.
Private boat slips and docks that can accommodate boats up to 30 feet are also available for residents as well as a recreation dock for kayaks and paddleboards. Capitalizing on the property’s prime waterfront location, the Riva Water Taxi, a private boat service, will be available to take residents and their guests across the river for tennis in George English Park, shopping at the Galleria Mall or even a sunset cruise.
