Spectacular Yacht Hop and Cruise at Bahia Mar to Benefit Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center and help raise funds for children with special healthcare needs
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The second annual Waterway Soirée, one of Fort Lauderdale’s must-attend, signature events, will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Bahia Mar Resort & Yachting Center.
The unique affair is an unforgettable and chic evening dockside at Bahia Mar aboard one of many luxurious private yachts, with guests savoring custom-prepared dishes from South Florida’s finest restaurants and mingling with celebrities against a breathtaking backdrop.
Following dinner, guests will embark on a festive party yacht for an Intracoastal Waterway cruise with an open bar, dessert and dancing to live music and DJ. Attendees will include celebrity guests, yachting enthusiasts, members of the marine industry and prominent community and business leaders.
The yacht hop and waterway cruise was created to raise much needed funds for Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 11,000 children with special healthcare needs in Broward County.
“The Waterway Soirée is an exciting new signature event which highlights what is quintessential about Fort Lauderdale, our spectacular waterways,” said Dr. Ana Calderon-Randazzo, executive director for the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center. “We are so grateful for the generosity and support from the yachting and marine industry as well as local businesses and community partners. Our inaugural event was a tremendous success and we look forward to another special evening which will help so many of our most fragile residents.”
Individual tickets for the yacht hop, dinner and dessert cruise are $750. Yacht owners can enter their own boats and receive admission for up to 20 guests and all activities for $15,000. Similarly, several new yachts are available for groups of up to 20 guests for $15,000. For guests who wish to attend only the dessert cruise, tickets may be purchased for $100. All donations are tax deductible.
