The 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was an Overwhelming Success

FLIBS14-03   The last weekend in October was incredible in Fort Lauderdale, without a cloud in the sky, temperatures in the mid to low 70s, and plenty of sun shining non-stop. This idyllic weather allowed for one of the best attended Fort Lauderdale boat shows in recent memory. The docks were filled with people from Thursday through Monday, snapping photos and enjoying the beautiful boats and weather. The economic impact the show had on Fort Lauderdale was tremendous. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Facebook page had tremendous engagement throughout the weekend thanks to its dedicated fans. Fans also showed their love for the show on Twitter and Instagram. This photo gallery was aggregated from every Instagram photo tagged with #FLIBS and #FLIBS2014:

Our team did an excellent job with media coverage as well. We had great hits on both CNBC and Fox News Channel. You can see the clips below:

The New York Times and Wall Street Journal sent reporters and photographers to the show as well, in addition to live broadcasts from all local television stations and tremendous coverage in the South Florida Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald. Overall, the Pierson Grant team helped more than 700 media personnel at the show, representing marine trades, consumer publications and more from around the world. With the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show only weeks away, and the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show and Palm Beach International Boat Show following soon behind it, we look forward to sharing more positive news about the marine industry in Florida and beyond.
