AVENTURA – The Family Fun Series at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center kicks off its 2015-16 season this October with Dog Loves Books, a delightful musical based on The New York Times best-seller by author Louise Yates.
Audience members of all ages will share in the whimsical story of a canine bookworm named Dog, whose love of books prompts him to open a book store. At first, Dog is short on customers so he contents himself by reading all the books in his shop. Once customers finally start to arrive, he knows exactly which books to recommend.
The ArtsPower National Touring Theatre’s new presentation of this classic tale celebrates the reaches of the imagination and the satisfaction that comes from sharing books with others. Dog Love Books is one of 28 new musicals and dramas that ArtsPower has created and premiered for its repertoire of quality, American theatre for children and families.

Presented as part of Family Fun Series on Sunday, October 18 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., each Family Fun Series performance at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center provides the ultimate family theater-going experience with free pre-show face painting, art activities provided by Young At Art Museum and complimentary post-show snacks. The Family Fun Series at Aventura is presented by the Broward Center of the Performing Arts. Tickets are $16 for individual seats in advance and $18 the day of the show, with $3 lap seats for infants 12 months or younger.
