The Our Fund Foundation awarded a total of $400,00 through its 2026 Arts & Culture Fund to support 19 organizations and LGBTQ+-specific projects in Broward and Miami-Dade counties that inspire creativity, foster belonging and strengthen community through shared experiences.
This year’s grant recipients were recognized for their contributions to South Florida’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community and received awards ranging from $4,000 to $40,000 during a celebratory reception on Tuesday, October 13, at the Gray Box Theater in Wilton Manors.
The Arts & Culture Fund is fueled by The Our Fund Foundation’s endowment and its Pillars Fund, which provides multi-year operating support to established LGBTQ+-serving organizations that have demonstrated consistent impact and a long-standing partnership with the Foundation.
This year’s grant cycle was made possible through the generosity of our committed donors, with special support from the Warten Foundation, a longtime supporter of LGBTQ+ organizations and causes across South Florida. Its investment continues to help strengthen the region’s LGBTQ+ community and cultural landscape.
“Arts and culture are essential to a thriving community. They give us opportunities to see ourselves reflected, share our stories and build meaningful connections across generations,” said David Jobin, President and CEO of The Our Fund Foundation. “At a time when traditional sources of arts and culture funding are facing unprecedented challenges, this support is more important than ever. We are grateful to the donors, Legacy Society members and partners, including the Warten Foundation, whose generosity makes it possible for these organizations to continue creating, connecting and strengthening our community.”
The Our Fund Foundation also extends deep gratitude to the Bill Beaton & Ted Emery Charitable Fund, Scott Bennett, the Darden Family Fund, Erwin Mayer, The Paul Fasana Charitable Fund, Glenn Goldberg, John Green & Jeff Sacks, Richard Huitema, Larry Hyer, the Jim Laird’s Hamish Fund, Robert Lee, Chuck Loring, Joseph Quiñones, David Saylor, Barb Signer & Fran Epstein, Stephen Smith, Richard Sorian, and Steven Thornton & Bradley Coomer. Their collective commitment reflects a shared belief that investing in LGBTQ+ stories, creativity and artistic expression helps build a stronger, more connected community.
