The South Florida Pride Concert Band Opens the Curtain on its 37th Season with “And the Award Goes To” on Sunday November 5

Florida’s Oldest LGBTQ+ Band Readying to Bring Hollywood Glamour to the Stage

The South Florida Pride Concert Band announced its 2023-24 season will debut with “And the Award Goes To” on Sunday, November 5 at 7 p.m. at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest red-carpet attire when the South Florida Pride Concert Band takes the stage, performing a compilation of memorable songs associated with a coveted Emmy, Grammy, Oscar or Tony award.

The concert will pay homage to the greatest singers, composers and actors of all time and include several exceptional vocalists, including a local seven-time Grammy Award winner and a soloist from Voctave, a professionally performing a cappella group. Videos will  accompany many of the song selections and include classic sing-along favorites such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Rent, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and a tribute to EGOT composer Leonard Bernstein.
